Knox Martin is peerless in his art! An old portrait of him from the 50s came to my attention lately when I researched his works. If Heaven is unfair, here is an extreme example of that inequity! Beside being highly gifted as an artist, the man is endowed also with a killer’s good look! By that, I mean a look from him can softly kill any woman in this world!
Whoever said, “All men are created equal” — I say, let him trip and fall full face, on a pile of foul, liquidly, excessively stinking elephant dung!
Cezanne, Picasso, Matisse, all had easter eggs for heads when even in their prime, but Knox Martin’s beautiful mane hardly dwindled. Whatever the guy eats–I wonder–must have worked well on him since it gives shape to form the stuff that gorgeousness is made from! I’d better stop here for further appreciation of the guy’s physical form down the line can make me suspect even though I am a staunch lover of women. It would be wise to let his female admirers complete the job while I stick to the great art he has given the world.
Words would be least useful when it comes to the appreciation of great Art, which is the revelation of Beauty. For that reason, let us go through some of Knox Martin’s best works quietly today. I shall also juxtapose a masterful calligraphy against each of the works to intensify our visual pleasure through sharpening our senses.

We have just seen some awesome paintings and calligraphy. For the sake of discussions, I am also showing some awful calligraphy, for your pleasure and education. Boy! they have come down to us through the corridor of history in much greater number than we can bargained for! They are the mediocre, the unwholesome, the unsavory and the ugly.
Here are some examples. It is important for you to make the eyeball comparison yourself. If you cannot trust your own intuitions, there is nothing in the world you can trust!–

That these ugly things look excessively unwholesome needs no explanations or excuses. The barrier between them and the true masters is the barrier ofÂ
MATHEMATICS!
WE are not created equal! Some among us are more endowed than the others. The most endowed ones have a name. We call them artistic geniuses. I am going to give an artistic genius new name here:
The Alpha Seer, since he is one who is awake to beauty.
Read on, folks: as this book is about the Alpha Seers of our time!
